POST RACE PARTY

Sponsored by Whirlpool and Pizza Hut, the Post Race Party and Picnic takes place at the race site (same site as the Expo) in Jean Klock Park (just south of the race finish), with plenty of food and beverages FREE for participants and race volunteers, and for sale to spectators. At 7:00am. Pizza Hut will be selling coffee, hot chocolate, beverages and cinnamon sticks, with the Party and Picnic opening up at 11am, awards at 5pm and the Party ending at 6pm.

EVENT TECHNICAL SHIRT & RACE BAG

Each participant will receive a technical, short sleeve event shirt, race numbers and a race bag.

IRONMAN 70.3 SLOT ALLOCATION POLICY

AWARDS

Finishers Award: Each finisher will receive a Whirlpool Steelhead 70.3 Triathlon finishers medal after crossing the finish line.

Overall Awards: Awards go to the top (5) men and women overall.

Open Age Group Awards: Awards go to the top (3) men and women in each of the following age groups: 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 & 70+.

Clydesdale & Athena Awards: Awards go to the top (3) men and women registered in the Clydesdale division in the following age groups: 39 & under, 40 & over.

Relay Team: Awards go to the top (3) male, female and coed teams (2 or 3 person teams).

IRONMAN 70.3 SLOT ALLOCATION POLICY
The Whirlpool Steelhead 70.3 Triahtlon is an official qualifier for the Ford Ironman World Championship 70.3 in Clearwater FL, in November of 2008. Our event will be awarding 75 qualifying slots for the Clearwater event. Slot allocation will be held in Jean Klock Park begiining at 3pm. The roll down will be held at 5:30pm immediately following the awards ceremony. Refer to the slot allocation table below to determine the number of slots awarded in each race category.
